Automation

Plucksmaskine

Young people do not find the jobs in abattoirs attractive and challenging. The work is repetitive and arduous and can result in attrition at a young age. In addition, fewer young people enter the work force these years.

In order to ensure steady production and attract qualified people, it is necessary to automate the cutting and boning processes as much as possible. Robots that take over the most arduous operations ensure against attrition of the operatives. At the same time, the nature of the work is changing; it is becoming more technical and less physically demanding.

Our work within automation starts at the slaughter line and does not end until the packing area.

Target:

By the end of 2005, it will be technologically possible to replace each monotonous, repetitive operation on the slaughter line with robots. In the cutting and boning areas, robots can replace all significant operations in 2007. The robots must meet the current requirements for yield, quality and hygiene.
